Wolf Tooth’s PowerTrac Elliptical™ (PTE) chainrings were designed to facilitate more power, better traction, and less shifting – without funky uneven pedal stroke. Their proprietary design features a slightly less ovalized ring (10%) with less aggressive timing (112°) than standard versions.

With PowerTrac Elliptical rings, the larger-diameter section of the ring engages with the chain at the optimal point on the downstroke, or “Power Zone,” – between 1-5 and 7-11 on a clock face – to take advantage of your body’s natural biomechanical power: Similarly, in the “Recovery Zone” (11-1 and 5-7), the smaller section on the PTE ring engages, maximizing efficiency in the weakest part of the pedal stroke.

This design provides a smoother, more efficient pedal rotation, which means better traction. Steadier torque on the rear wheel means less spinning out in the “Power Zone,” while pedaling is easier during the “Recovery Zone,” so you maintain momentum.

To provide the best possible performance in muddy conditions, the X-Sync chainrings have been designed with mud-clearing recesses for the inner chain links and rollers. Engineered in Germany, X-Sync rings are an integral part of the Sram 1x drivetrain.

It's an all-new derailleur that’s specifically designed and optimized to be motor-driven instead of cable-actuated. AXS powered components enable customization and scale to an individual rider’s liking via the AXS App. It features a shorter cage for 10-millimeter more ground clearance, with more chain wrap on the cassette to sit slightly further forward, and further inboard from mechanical Eagle.

The Eagle AXS derailleur is smart enough to protect itself thanks to its incredibly resilient Overload Clutch. In the event of an impact, the motor gearbox disengages, giving the derailleur freedom to move, and instantly returns back to its position for a seamless experience for the rider. The system is tested to IP69K water and dust proofing standard for creek crossings, mud splatterings and the resulting post-ride pressure washings.
