- A new Maestro rear suspension system gives trail riders 140mm of rear travel. The trunnion mount shock and Advanced Forged Composite rocker arm combine for a longer stroke that has a smooth, active feel, plus greater stiffness in the chassis for precision control. The rear suspension is paired with a 150mm travel fork, providing superior confidence and control on technical singletrack.
- A three-position Maestro flip chip lets riders dial in frame geometry for their riding style and terrain. The high setting adds more ground clearance, a good option for tight, technical terrain. In the low setting, the head tube gets slacker and the bottom bracket drops, ideal for confident handling at higher speeds. The middle position is neutral. In addition, a new headset flip chip adjusts reach so that riders can easily achieve their preferred positioning.
- All models come with 29-inch front and rear wheels, but the flip chip lets you opt for a mixed wheel setup including a 27.5 rear. - Anti-squat refers to how much your pedaling inputs stiffen the suspension. Think of it as yanking your chain, and therefore your pedals, backwards every time you hit a bump. Not enough anti-squat and you have a bike that bobs under power. Too much and the bike will be harsh and not as able to absorb bumps while under power. We’ve worked hard to improve (reduce) anti-squat on our bikes and the result is more traction and more freedom.
